Como que para provar que o título «Distortion» é para ser levado a sério, os Magnetic Fields avançaram com a primeira amostra do disco que sairá em Janeiro. «Three-Way», o novo tema, é pontuado por um feedback de arranhar os tímpanos, um piano a deslizar em estilo clássico, uma guitarra a apanhar ondas de quatro metros num Hawai imaginário e, lá ao fundo, umas vozes que soam aos Pixies num dia verdadeiramente feliz.
